Elective and Extra-Curricular Programs

Ann Arbor Public Schools have a tradition of excellence in academics as well as outstanding elective, and extra-curricular options. Skyline High School has been building on this tradition since it opened in the fall of 2008.   During registration for incoming freshmen, which takes place in the spring of their 8th grade year, students will complete a survey indicating their interest in elective classes including music, visual arts, performing arts, and athletic programs. The survey forms are forwarded to the high schools where the information is used for scheduling appropriate classes and programs to meet the students’ needs right from the start.
Many parents have requested specific information about the athletic and music programs planned for Skyline High School.  The following pages outline the music and athletic programs designed to grow along with the student enrollment at Skyline High School.
